Explain the feeling you had the first time you put on skates.
Before having my first pair of skating I was pretending to be a skater by putting two pieces of paper under my shoes and sliding all over the floor of my apartment. Then for my birthday I received my first pair of skates I was really excited, and I wanted to keep my skates on all day long. I liked the speed, and I felt the freedom I still feel today every time I skate.
What is your inspiration to keep skating?
I think that there are many things and people that inspire me to continue skating. First of all, I’m really motivated to reach my goals and I am not ready to give up on them yet. Secondly, since I was kid, I have been surrounded by skaters which I admire not only for their career, but also for what they have accomplished in life. I believe they made it possible for me to dream for a good life with skating playing a big part of it. Erika Zanetti, Daniel Niero, my teammates, and my coach are a great inspiration for me. I am also really inspired by my parents and my brother because they never give up in their life and on me. They are my role models.
We truly believe skating makes a better world. How do you think skating makes the world a better place?
If I think about skating, I think about an uncorrupted world in which passion and dedication win over everything. When you skate you feel better and also the people that surround you do. Skating gives you the opportunity to travel all-over the world and meet new people. I have gained so much from this sport like respect, fairness, languages, cultures and much more. Skating is freedom and connection with others.
How do you keep progressing and reinventing yourself?
I believe that throughout the years I have progressed thanks to the opportunities my club and my national team gave me. By racing World, European and National competitions I have gained experience not only in the races but also by confronting with skaters of other teams or nationalities. By gaining some tips and knowledge and by maintaining high the motivation I hope I can progress and reach my goals. I really look forward to sharing this experience in the Rollerblade® World Team because I respect and admire every member of the team, I know we can learn a lot from each other.
What’s the most helpful tip you want to share with any skater?
I think that the most useful tip is to have fun and enjoy every second because the years with skating will be the best of our lives. Skating is passion and consistency so never give up on that.
Imagine a world filled with animals who can skate. If you could be any of those animals, what would you be and why?
It is a bit of a tricky question. I have to say that my dad always defined me as a Mini Bull because of my determination and my strength. I think I’d like to have the power and explosivity of a bull. I also like the fact that the bull represents the unpredictability, because I’d love to be an unpredictable skater.
