Getting Started

If you know the basics of how to roll around and stop on pavement, and know how to properly fit your skates and protective gear, you are ready to get started with the program. The first thing to do is to watch the most important video in the series below - Terrain Selection.

The Skate to Ski Training System® is a series of videos that build on a progression of phases:

Remember that the Skate to Ski Training System® is a progression. Always perform the exercises within each Phase in order. And make sure you’ve mastered a Phase before progressing to the next one. Always wear your helmet and protective gear, and most imporantly - have fun with this!

TRAINING PLANS

Once you’ve learned the skills in Phases 1 - 4, you’re ready to start training!

Training Plan 1 provides a moderate training schedule that utilizes skills from Phases 2 & 3.
Training Plan 2 is a more intense training schedule that incorporates skills from Phases 2, 3, & 4.
