Explain the feeling you had the first time you put on skates.
My first feeling on skates was freedom. After couple of weeks struggling with my balance, I was able to go everywhere in my town. The distances were suddenly really short and even if I wasn’t in confidence all the time, I immediately wanted to go faster and further away.
What is your inspiration to keep skating?
Inspiration is everywhere. I really to try to look around me; being aware is the key. Look at the city, the people, the shapes created by the roads, the traffic, the buildings and try to find my own way in this maze.
We truly believe skating makes a better world. How do you think skating makes the world a better place?
A soon as I skated well enough, I met many people around skating spots in Paris. These people came for really different horizons, cultures, and backgrounds. White people, black people, Asian people, poor, rich, well educated, idiot… We all skated together, and being together help to build a better world.
How do you keep progressing and reinventing yourself?
"Progressing" is not my goal, but maybe trying new things, new disciplines. I found a good alternative to urban skating with long distance skating like marathons. So, I don’t reinvent myself properly, I don't progress in Urban skating but trying other ways helps me to improve my passion for skating.
What’s the most helpful tip you want to share with any skater?
There are plenty of tips on the web, but if I had one to give: do NOT do crazy things in the streets. Cars and traffic can easily be stronger than you. Be careful all around all the time, we are the weakest. Enjoy the freedom, but with safety :)
Imagine a world filled with animals who can skate. If you could be any of those animals what would you be and why?
Some of my friends should say a buffalo or a wild boar because I had some serious crashes, but with no injuries. Maybe a bear...
