IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE

RE: Recall: Black Maxxum Inline Skating Helmet
DATE: April 13, 2016
Rollerblade USA, in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), is voluntarily recalling all Maxxum inline skating helmets sold between November 2014 and January 2016. Rollerblade USA takes extraordinary pride in each product that is sold under the Rollerblade brand and takes all reports of quality issues very seriously. Rollerblade USA has found that the Maxxum inline skating helmet’s plastic shell can crack where the straps attach, causing the helmet to shift and move on the wearer’s head. This can result in a head injury hazard to the user in the event of a fall. Rollerblade USA has not identified any reports of the helmet breaking or injuries associated with the helmet.
“Rollerblade” is printed on the side of the helmet, a white inline skate logo is printed on the back of the helmet and a label on the inside of the helmet contains the model number “YJ-219” and production date of October 2014 or earlier. The SKU number 06520210100 is printed on the helmet’s box.
If you have a Rollerblade brand Maxxum inline skating helmet, immediately stop using your helmet and contact Rollerblade USA for a full refund. Please contact customer service at 1-800-232-7655 or email us at RCS@Rollerblade.com to return your helmet and receive your refund. All freight charges to Rollerblade USA will be at no cost to you. We would like to thank you for your patience and cooperation. We seek to ensure that the products we make meet the highest quality standards in the industry.
