Brake vs. No Brake

If you are a beginner to intermediate level skater it is highly suggested that your skates have a brake attached-at least in the beginning.   If they do not (look in the box, it should be there), you may want to see if you can get one for your skates. Of course many skaters, depending on their level of expertise and skating discipline, skip the brake altogether.  However, when skating in an urban, or unfamiliar setting skating with a brake is your best bet but you need to know how to use it.  To wear a brake or not to wear a brake is ultimately up to you.
