Explain the feeling you had the first time you put on skates.

EXCITEMENT!! I felt unstoppable and fast!

What is your inspiration to keep skating?

I love the feeling of the wind in my face and the sound of my wheels on the pavement. It’s like meditation for me!

I love pushing myself to see how far and fast I can go.

We truly believe skating makes a better world. How do you think skating makes the world a better place?

It’s hard to put on a pair of skates and NOT put a smile on your face! Skating is great exercise, fun, and easy to do just about anywhere.

Skating has generated lasting and meaningful friendships for me, with people I would never have met otherwise!

How do you keep progressing and reinventing yourself?

I’m competitive by nature, and my favorite person to compete against is myself. I try my hardest at whatever I put my mind to, then, I look back and see how I can build from there and do it even better. It’s fun to continually challenge myself!

What’s the most helpful tip you want to share with any skater?

Bent and ready knees! Unexpected bumps in the road happen. Bent knees, ready to move and absorb bumps, will help you react to any obstacles, staying upright and moving forward!

Imagine a world filled with animals who can skate. If you could be any of those animals what would you be and why?

Since we’re imagining... the winged horse, Pegasus! The strength and power of a horse, and wings for when I get going extra fast – I feel like I’m flying!
