Founded in 1996 the NorthShore Inline Marathon is dedicated to spreading the love of inline skating and overall fitness. Every year over 2,000 athletes of all ages ranging from 10 to 95 come and participate in our events. With a historic route, great views, and an even better community; NSIM has been called one of the best inline marathons in the world by countless individuals and has become a tradition for many. Bring friends, make memories, and skate on.
The NorthShore Inline Marathon, features the same beautiful point-to-point course as Grandma's Marathon. Beginning just outside of Two Harbors, MN, and running along the scenic North Shore of Lake Superior. There is one difference however, due to the fact that the bricks on Superior Street are NOT skate-friendly, The skaters glide through the 1-35 tunnels at Lemon Drop Hill before entering Canal Park via the 5th Ave. West ramp, and cross the finish line in front of the beautiful and historic William A. Irvin.
